A Winterfest Wristband gives you horse and carriage rides throughout the Winterfet season, an INCLUDED winter activity like dog sledding, snow tubing, an hour-long horse-drawn sleigh ride through the forest, and more (limited availability), a hot chocolate stop at Biscotti Brothers or Adirondack Winery, and hotel and restaurant discounts! Horse Drawn Carriages
A fleet of horse-drawn carriages will be available to people with the Winterfest wristband. Flash your Winterfest wristband on Saturdays 12pm-6pm, Jan, Feb and early March, and hop aboard at no charge. It’s the perfect winter wonderland transportation. (See pickup areas and route here)

Big hotel & restaurant discounts
Your Winterfest wristband provides you a whopping 15% off hotel rooms (see here) and 10% off restaurant meals in the Lake George region, Dec 26th-March 12th! Your hotel savings alone will exceed the price of the wristband.

Hot Chocolate Stations
Grab a hot chocolate on our snowy days to keep warm. Just show your Winterfest wristband at Biscotti Brothers, 1 Canada Street in Lake George Friday & Saturday or Adirondack Winery, 285 Canada St. in Lake George or 395 Big Bay Road in Queensbury and you’ll be handed a fresh cup of hot chocolate faster than you can say “ahh.” Note: *Wristbands are not valid at Lake George Village Hot Chocolate Bar.

Adirondack Sleigh Rides
Enjoy a picture-postcard bucket list experience on this nearly hour-long ride through snowy forests and fields. With sleigh bells ringing and wool blankets keeping you warm, you’ll travel to a gorgeous ridge with a view of the highpeaks, followed by a stop offering hot chocolate and smores over an open fire! This is a truly unique Adirondack experience. More info here.

dog Sled Rides
What’s the best winter activity in the Adirondacks? Many would say dog sledding on Mirror Lake or throughout the Adirondack wilderness. These sled dogs are born and bred to run, enjoying every moment they are pulling the sled. Sit on a sled, cover yourself with flannel blankets, and get ready to take in the snow covered Adirondack vistas. Located 90 min from Lake George Village. More info here.

Snowshoe Experience
Explore the beautiful snowy Adirondack forests on snowshoes. This is a 1/2 day experience, where you’ll be outfitted with snowshoes and poles, and will be given access to a groomed trail system in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Your starting point will be the scenic Garnet Hill Lodge (45 min north of Lake George Village). It’s great for novices and great for selfies. More info here.

Winter Tubing Adventure
This is a blast. A nearby, new tubing park has four-six upper lanes and six-eight lower lanes all accessible by the moving magic carpet ride. Simply hop on with your tube and let the moving magic carpet take you up hill to the starting point. Friday nights under the lights. More info here.

Axe Throwing Experience
Come to the Adirondacks and leave as an axe throwing expert! It’s fun, it’s memorable, and easy. You’ll have an hour-long session at this top notch indoor axe throwing facility. There are multiple targets, with up to 4 people per target. (Flannel shirts and big beards not required!) Come and experience the rush. Only 15 min from Lake George. More info here.

Cross Country Skiing
Enjoy a 1/2 day cross-country experience, quietly sliding through the forests of a nearby cross-country ski park. The trails are maintained, and the snow is all natural. More info here.

Ice Castles!
Ice Castles is an awe-inspiring, must-see winter phenomenon that brings fairytales to life January and February. This winter, escape into an icy wonderland at The Festival Commons in beautiful Lake George, New York. Lake George, New York is one of only five locations across the United States. Each castle is approximately an acre in size and consists of more than 25 million pounds of ice. See more here.

“The Great 8” An Eight Minute Fireworks Display!
Every Saturday evening, Lake George Winterfest will feature a brief fireworks display overhead. This short 8 min show will take place more overhead than traditional Lake George displays, so the best view is just about wherever you happen to be in Lake George Village. They’ll explode over the Fort William Henry Museum, so stand on just about any sidewalk and look up!

I understand the activities associated with Winterfest involve numerous risks including, but not limited to, the risks posed by variations in terrain and snow and ice conditions, and other hazards. I also understand mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and dog sledding involve risks posed by loss of balance, loss of control, falling, and collisions with natural and man-made objects and other participants. I further agree that all of these risks and dangers are necessary to winter activities. New York Law imposes a duty on you to become apprised of, and understand, the risks inherent in these sports, which are set forth above, so that you make an informed decision whether to participate notwithstanding the risks. New York law also imposes additional duties upon you, to which you must adhere, for the purpose of avoiding injury caused by any of the risks inherent in these winter activities.
